Raynes Reef Luncheonette in Berlin

Nice little soda shop in the middle of Berlin. Been twice during our vacations to OC, seems like a lot of regulars come in, definitely gives off a small town feel which I love. Friendly staff and quick service. Oh, and a milkshake is a must!

Great food, old fashioned soda fountain, milkshakes, outdoor seating, beautiful vintage decor.

First time for breakfast was very good had pancakes and a egg sandwich will be back!

Good food, Ice cream sundaes, prices spot on.. Atmosphere is old style for sure, waitress Amanda was caring & attentive. Dress is very casual. The only negative for me was no doors onthe kitchen entrance/exit area where employee was tending to trash in my view.

Good place to go and eat with friends or date night. Good food and friendly staff. Pull up in your boat or do what everyone else does and drive there. Plenty of parking.

This is a nice place to eat, the hamburgers there are great, they look a lot bigger than 8 oz's you got to try them.

Great place! My food was fresh and tasted great. Lovely hometown vibes and I loved that the kitchen is visible from the tables. Our waiter was fast and sociable. Also, they have really good ice. Prices are also decent. Nice spot for a casual lunch with a friend. 👍

I'm new to Berlin's amazing charm. Decided on Rayne's Reef...I made a great choice. THE server said they are known for there burgers so I had to try one. AMAZING....and cooked perfect.

Rayne's is a small throwback soda fountain in Berlin Md. There are stools at the counter, booths and tables for seating options, but it's not a really big place. The griddle is easy to see and you can watch your food being prepared. We went for lunch during a car show just as lunch started. We had a burger and fries. The burger is made of fresh ground beef, yes fresh, with good seasoning and cooked to liking. The burger was excellent, juicy, on a fresh roll cooked as ordered. The fries were crispy, tender and mildly salted. Wait staff were prompt and friendly. I love historic throwbacks, and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of staff and meal here.

This place was recommended by a local shopowner as a great burger joint. The burger was excellent and cheap. Good milkshake, too.

If you order a milkshake expect to drink basicly three milkshakes. Killer food and good for if your headed down the coast. Check the national parks out too.

The BEST burgers and MUST try their fantastic cole slaw! Top it off with a nice ice cream, if you want a better price than Island Creamery, and you've had fun visiting this adorable OLD town landmark. See it in the movie Runaway Bride. :-) Nice hot chocolate on New Year's Eve when you go to watch the ball drop!

We come back to this diner every chance we get. Delicious milkshakes. Fabulous pancakes and burgers. Just a bright and cheery place to eat a meal.

Found this gem while driving on vacation. I loved it. The food was great. Prices were reasonable and the restaurant and town welcoming. We will be back on our next trip

Stopped in to find a quick lunch. We were greeted and seated right away by friendly, experienced servers and drinking soda within minutes. they used shaved ice, which is a treat. since they are known for the burgers, we all got one, and they were the best, juiciest burger we had in a while. Will be back again for a shake! thanks!

So Rayne’s Reef was a very good diner. The prices were around what you expect to pay at a diner. You can expect to pay about $20 a head. The food was very good and was served quickly. The burger with an egg was very delicious and cooked to order. Please do yourself a favor and get milkshakes. They had good viscosity and tasted heavenly. I tried both the strawberry and cookies and cream and they’re so refreshing. The service was also on par. The small town vibe of Berlin is definitely felt throughout. The restaurant definitely has an Americana theme. The only drawback there are posters of the Runaway Bride and the main character from it sprinkled throughout. I get it, Berlin was in that movie but still... If you’re in Berlin go to Rayne’s Reef!

My family and I stumbled upon this location on a trip to Ocean City from New York, and we were definitely glad we found it. The food is amazing and it has a "homemade" flavor to it. (If that makes any sense). It's not on a major road or anything so you won't really find it unless you deliberately go to Berlin's Historic Downtown.

Stopped in for lunch and they were packed the moment a table opened up the staff were quick to clean it and get is seated and our drinks ordered. Burgers were outstanding and juicy, truly better than what I can make at home. Root beer float was not little red Solo cup one it was big and a very satisfying. The staff were extremely friendly the whole time as well. From a Wyoming resident, these guys hit it out of the park!

Great service, great food, great pricing! Today, breakfast was delicious at Rayne's Reef. I enjoyed two eggs, over-easy, two delicious pieces of perfectly grilled scrapple, home fries, and crispy bacon. My wife ordered a bacon and cheddar omelet, which I delighted in tasting. The food was just the right temperature and had just the right level of moisture---not soggy or bone dry. Truly, this has become my favorite spot for breakfast!

Eat, laugh, and enjoy this amazing grill and soda fountain and you'll be back.

Excellent breakfast. Lots of bacon and large pancakes. Love the fact it seems the same as it did many years ago.

We found the town of Berlin and this awesome luncheonette about 5 years ago and we eat there everyday we are in Maryland for vacation! We love the burgers and our son loves sitting at the counter watching the awesome cooks!!! We love your food and can’t wait til we come down again. Hope to see you before too long Rayne’s Reef. Everyone here is awesome and very hard workers! Much appreciation for all you great people!

Cool little place to grab a bite too eat. It was our 1st visit and we would definitely go back.

Wasn't the biggest fan of the blueberry pancakes but my sister said the bacon egg and cheese bagel was the best she ever had. The restaurant was clean and practiced social distancing.

Liked the throw back atmosphere. Burger was excellent. Lot of flavor. Bunn too bready. Took away from the delicious burger. Tomato cut way too thick. Waitress was an A+. I would definitely eat here again. Oh the shake was phenomenal

I'll try this again. The food was good but my waitress had her mask on her chin not covering her nose or mouth at all. She needs to be told this is unacceptable. If the wrong person comes in, you might be in big trouble. Just saying.
